I was away attending a course conducted by CDC (Curriculum Developement Centre)in Beringgis Beah Resort in Papar from 7 - 9 Sept. It was one of the most relaxing course I ever had so far.
What we needed to do was to browse through a courseware developed by IH - International House, comment on the material and then we were taught how to go about with the material during teaching and learning process. The courseware was definitely good but I doubt teachers (speaking for myself actually!)have enough time to fully utilise the material.. but anyway, the effort taken by CDC to enhance students' performance in English should be given credit..
At the end of the one and half day course, during the the closing ceremony...I would like to quote what Dr. Azami Ibrahim from CDC said about the teaching profession.."Don't command respect from your students, we need to earn that respect because we are worth to be respected"

It was my first time staying in Beringgis Beach Resort..the place is quite nice, especially the beach. The chalet is not bad too. I would like to spend my next holiday here next time.
